About Me
Hi, I'm Doina, a late-deafened individual who has been struggling with hearing loss since more than half of my life now. I identify as hard of hearing and it has been quite a challenge for me to accept this identity. However, I am ready to accept and advocate for it now. Mostly looking for community and a platform to share and process my experiences around this topic. I am looking forward to where this brings me. Although I'm not completely new to the hard of hearing (HoH) community, I feel there is so much for me to learn and am grateful for any advice, suggestion and correction in using the terms and the specific definitions belonging to this community correctly.
